About the Project

Leonardo da Vinci Partnership project (2012-2014) is focused on vocational training in the field of floristry as an art of creation flowery arrangements and landscape design using ornamental plants.

Objectives. This interdisciplinary project provides learners with various means, styles, techniques, traditional and modern trends of design floral compositions and arrangements for different occasions (weddings, different kind of parties, Christmas, Easter, funerals etc.) as well flower decorations for hotel rooms, restaurants, homes, etc. end elements of landscape floral architecture.

A network between project participants, including partner of world of work and silent social partners is established as an international platform of exchange of information, experience and forum of the opinion of floral / horticulture business in order to create new employment opportunities in this field. Trainees will act later as trained accompanying staff in floristic shops, floral galleries, floral companies, green houses and other floristic enterprises, private business.

The target group: students of horticulture high schools, women about 50, unemployed, active or former employees of floristic and other sectors.

Final products. The best methods, styles, techniques will be conducted to produce e.g. an E-Handbook about floral compositions, E-horticulture multilingual dictionary, E-brochure with photos of landscape architecture / design and floral arrangements in the gardens, Power Point presentation of training sessions about floristry education on international level, E-Album of flower compositions, etc.

Mobilities act as practice for learners and staff members after local trainings.

Dissemination activities will be crucial as all organizations help to attract customers to the floristic business in order to create jobs for trainees.
